Dr Adam Montgomery

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Adam Montgomery is a consultant Psychiatrist. He studied at Queen’s University Belfast and completed his Psychiatry Training at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Presently he works for the NHS in the Adult ADHD Service and a general adult community team in North East London NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Montgomery’s specific interests include adult neurodevelopmental disorders and the effect of socio-cultural factors on mental illness. He has contributed to scientific literature, publishing in peer reviewed journals and scientific textbooks. He has extensive experience in teaching trainee Psychiatrists and medical students, facilitation of medical student Balint Groups, and is clinical supervisor for Psychiatry trainees in his current role.

Dr Montgomery is on the GMC specialist register and he is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. 


Experience


Dr Montgomery has been a Consultant in North East London NHS Foundation Trust since 2024 and he has worked in the NHS for the last 9 years. 


Dr. Montgomery has a special interest in Adult ADHD and Autism, having nurtured his interest at the National Adult ADHD and Autism Service at the Maudsley Hospital since 2023. He has completed UKAAN ADHD training and ADOS-2 ASD training in 2024. He now works for the Redbridge Adult ADHD service and has experience working privately conducting ADHD and Autism assessments.
