I started my career as a teacher and later did an MPhil in Psychology as Applied to Medicine at the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience where I later worked as a Research Manager for a large scale project looking at, amongst other things, the genes underlying anxiety in children.

My personal research focussed on parenting styles and its relationship with childhood anxiety. I later added to my training and became a Parenting Facilitator for EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities) and have regularly delivered courses to parents of neurodiverse children alongside my role at the Effra Clinic.
