Dr Stephanie Doig

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Doig has lived and studied in a number of countries gaining her Masters in Applied Psychology at New York University before completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in London. Over the last 15 years Dr Doig has worked in several CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) in the NHS. She is currently working in private practice in London and Surrey. Dr Doig primarily works with children, young people, young adults and their families with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, including anxiety, panic, OCD, feeding problems, depression and anger.

My Story

She has experience of assessment and intervention with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, ADHD and also learning disabilities. Dr Doig has advance training in a range of psychological therapies which influence her practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr Doig will always work with a client collaboratively to determine which approach would work best.


Dr Doig completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Newcastle University followed by a Masters at New York University and finally her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London.

Dr Doig is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (UK).


Dr Doig has 15 years experience in several NHS CAMHS services including Camden MOSAIC, South Camden CAMHS and Wandsworth CAMHS

She has 15 years of working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions. In the NHS she has worked for Camden MOSAIC Social Communication and Assessment Service and Child Development Team and she has worked with the Effra Clinic since it was founded in 2015.

She is ADI and ADOS trained.
